Zaneta is the company’s marketing executive, and the creator of the company’s group programme. She is the expert designer of the group itineraries, an area where her creative skills truly come to shine. Culture plays a big part in her itineraries and her tours will undoubtedly include some type of music, whether it is a private or public classical music concert, an opera performance, or a folk music and dance show.
Joe, together with Zaneta co-owns the company. Without his expertise in technology and business operations, we can honestly say performing day-to-day tasks would be much more challenging! As hard as it is to pick one favourite destination experience, her fondest memories are of a private concert she had arranged for one of our classical music groups aboard a galijun ship in Dubrovnik. She had hired Dubrovnik’s symphony orchestra to perform for while the ship was anchored alongside Dubrovnik’s City Walls…to this date, clients can’t stop talking about the unique experience the natural acoustics the walls provided, the shimmering sunlight and the soothing waves of the Adriatic Sea as they sipped on cocktails while enjoying Mozart and Beethoven’s timeless tunes being performed by excellent musicians.

His favourite travel experience is the picnic he and his group enjoyed on their safari in South Africa. “With so many wonderful travel experiences and adventures, it is too hard to choose one favourite place! They all have their own unique cultures and beauty, although I do have to say, Europe has a part of my heart! How can you tire of all the history, beautiful landscapes, centuries-old architecture, and the special social way of life! I revel in the way the towns & villages come to life each morning with locals gathering to share a morning coffee in the cafes along the square, and then later in the day, joining together again for lunch or that end of day aperitif!
One of my most treasured memories of a European trip was hosting our agency group on the Rhine River with a few days of touring Milan before embarking. The absolute highlight of Milan was experiencing a live performance of the opera “VIOLA” at the infamous La Scala! I will never forget this …
Recent travels to Europe included Holland and seeing the beautiful Tulips blooming all over Holland and Belgium, along with the visit to the Keukenhof gardens were highlights of the trip.
On the opposite side of the globe…..Chile is a country which I found truly vibrant and energetic! From the city of Santiago, to the Southern tranquil area of Puerto Natales and Patagonia where I visited Torres del Paine National Park, Chile was amazing! In particular visiting the Serrano Glacier, one of many glaciers in this Southernmost tip of Chile, was incredible.”

During Zaneta and Val’s multiple conversations involving the planning of trips, Val would frequently end the conversation with “Man, I love your life”! One day, Zaneta planted the suggestion of joining the Clarkson Travel Team and Val enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity!
In recent years, Val has planned detailed travel experiences, and subsequently visited various destinations in Canada, Europe, Northern Europe, Japan, United Kingdom and throughout the United States. Choosing all kinds of modes of transportation, be it by coach, car, or cruise, she loves all ways to travel (although cruising is a definite favourite)!

All destinations she has been to have become favourites, as they all have something unique unto themselves, making them each special and memorable. Her particular favourites however include anywhere in the UK with a special emphasize on London. Even having been several times over the past few years, she says that there is still so much more to see, and looks forward to returning soon.
Another favourite is Barcelona where the energy is so vibrant that she says she would like to stay forever and soak it all in! Then there is Jordan, known for Petra and Wadi Rum that also captured her heart. Tokyo for its unique blend of ancient traditions and iconic landmarks was equally impressive! Then there is Ljubljana (Slovenia) -a small city she fell in love with as it was so easy to walk with its unique town centre, and an abundance of outdoor restaurants, and markets. This was part of a Croatia trip, sailing along the Dalmatian Coast which was an amazingly beautiful and unforgettable adventure. She could go on and on ….
