As hard as it is to pick one favourite destination experience, her fondest memories are of a private concert she had arranged for one of our classical music groups aboard a galijun ship in Dubrovnik. She had hired Dubrovnik’s symphony orchestra to perform for while the ship was anchored alongside Dubrovnik’s City Walls…to this date, clients can’t stop talking about the unique experience the natural acoustics the walls provided, the shimmering sunlight and the soothing waves of the Adriatic Sea as they sipped on cocktails while enjoying Mozart and Beethoven’s timeless tunes being performed by excellent musicians.

“With so many wonderful travel experiences and adventures, it is too hard to choose one favourite place! They all have their own unique cultures and beauty, although I do have to say, Europe has a part of my heart! How can you tire of all the history, beautiful landscapes, centuries-old architecture, and the special social way of life! I revel in the way the towns & villages come to life each morning with locals gathering to share a morning coffee in the cafes along the square, and then later in the day, joining together again for lunch or that end of day aperitif!
One of my most treasured memories of a European trip was hosting our agency group on the Rhine River with a few days of touring Milan before embarking. The absolute highlight of Milan was experiencing a live performance of the opera “VIOLA” at the infamous La Scala! I will never forget this …
Recent travels to Europe included Holland and seeing the beautiful Tulips blooming all over Holland and Belgium, along with the visit to the Keukenhof gardens were highlights of the trip.
On the opposite side of the globe…..Chile is a country which I found truly vibrant and energetic! From the city of Santiago, to the Southern tranquil area of Puerto Natales and Patagonia where I visited Torres del Paine National Park, Chile was amazing! In particular visiting the Serrano Glacier, one of many glaciers in this Southernmost tip of Chile, was incredible.”

All destinations she has been to have become favourites, as they all have something unique unto themselves, making them each special and memorable. Her particular favourites however include anywhere in the UK with a special emphasize on London. Even having been several times over the past few years, she says that there is still so much more to see, and looks forward to returning soon.
Another favourite is Barcelona where the energy is so vibrant that she says she would like to stay forever and soak it all in! Then there is Jordan, known for Petra and Wadi Rum that also captured her heart. Tokyo for its unique blend of ancient traditions and iconic landmarks was equally impressive! Then there is Ljubljana (Slovenia) -a small city she fell in love with as it was so easy to walk with its unique town centre, and an abundance of outdoor restaurants, and markets. Beverley’s relationship started with Clarkson Travel over 15 years ago when she handled top producing accounts for Regent Seven Seas Cruises as their Director of Sales & Marketing for Canada. She worked closely with Clarkson to develop their business into the successful agency it is today and upon retiring from Regent in 2024 jumped at the opportunity to continue working with the agency on a part time basis to lend her expertise in cruise marketing.
Beverley’s love affair with everything ocean started at only 6 weeks old when she was taken to visit her Uncle who held the position of Navigator on the QE2! It’s fair to say that she has cruising and the sea in her blood as her Grandfather was also a Commander of a shipping fleet!
Knowing she wanted to work in the travel/cruise business led her to study languages at university and shortly after graduation she spent several years working at sea as a Cruise Director and Shore Excursion Manager. Returning home to marry and have a family, she sought a sales & marketing position with Princess Cruises/Cunard and ultimately ended her 30 + year in the cruise industry with Regent Seven Seas Cruises – truly the cherry on the top!

Monaco:
Attending the inauguration ceremony of Regent’s Seven Seas Explorer, outside in the harbour of Monte Carlo where Andrea Bocelli serenaded the crowd followed by fireworks! What a magical place and what a magical night that was!
France/Italy:
A driving trip from Provence to Tuscany ending with a week in a villa with a group of friends to celebrate a milestone birthday was incredible! Visiting wineries and attending an authentic cooking school in Montepulciano was such fun and waking to see Sunflowers, Lavender, and Cypress trees lining the driveways of the countryside was magical!
Croatia:
She would be remiss not to mention the wonderful trip she and her husband did to mark another milestone birthday … the Adriatic Adventure private motor yacht experience for 2 weeks offered by Clarkson Travel! Delving deep into the countryside of Slovenia and Croatia and sailing into the beautiful bays and islands of the Adriatic was extraordinary! She would do this every year!
